Key bug: llDialog: must supply a message

A few avies have submitted bug reports regarding using the key for the first time with the Release Candidate gear (with HUD v5.6.x), and getting the following error:

llDialog: must supply a message

This is fixed in the next RC refresh.

Meantime, the temporary workaround is to: 1. Reset owner on HUD menu (or via “/1.owner”). 2. Re-instate owner .

Congrats to Alisa Menna

Congratulations to Alisa Menna, who is the second person to reach First Slave x 6 (i.e. First Slave on all six gags). This is no mean feat. Well done, Alisa!

The first person to attain First Slave x 6 a while ago is Feliciana Zabaleta, who is back after a spell away. (Feliciana is a herder in the First Slave Club, so you can IM her to change your group roles if you’ve got more than one First Slave. If you’re a First Slave and are not in the First Slave Club, you can IM her for an invite too 😀  )

Cuffs Refresh with new HUD v5.6.1 out now

The RC Cuffs have been refreshed at the Beta box (right inside the Warehouse entrance). Only the HUD version has changed (now 5.6.1):
– HUD and gear will now detect and use RLV again if on (thanks Kwakkelde Kwak for the heads up!)
– leather cuffs should allow arm/thigh plugin activation (if you have v5.6.0 HUD, you need to /1.quickreset before activating).
Since only the HUD has changed, if you’re updating from HUD 5.6.0, you don’t need to set up anything. Just wear the new v5.6.1, and at the setup page,

The RC Cuffs have been refreshed at the Beta box (right inside the Warehouse entrance – don’t use the Update Switch, that’s for general release only).

Only the HUD version has changed (now 5.6.1):

  • HUD and gear will now detect and use RLV again if on (thanks Kwakkelde Kwak for the heads up!)
  • leather cuffs should allow arm/thigh plugin activation (if you have v5.6.0 HUD, you need to /1.quickreset before activating).  (Thanks Dina Vhargon!)

Since only the HUD has changed, if you’re updating from HUD 5.6.0, you don’t need to set up anything. Just wear the new v5.6.1, and at the setup menu, don’t choose “SETUP” – instead choose “transfer…” and transfer your gear from 5.6.0. And carry on from there normally – you’re effectively swapping HUDs without setting up anything new.

But if you’re updating from 5.5.x and below, you need to set up everything – nothing can be transferred over.

Gags: The RC gags are still on v5.6.0 HUD – which means RLV won’t really work on them, unless you transfer them to an updated Cuff HUD (v5.6.1). I’ll get round to updating the gags later. All these packing takes up more time than it looks 😉

Keep the bug reports coming. This is a big update, and there are lots of changes – and I really need help with lotsa people playing with the new gear to try to break them. I can’t really do it all by myself (well, I can, but (a) it’ll take me forever – the interdependence among various sims/cuffs/gags/HUDs is getting more complex, (b) you’ll never get new toys, and (c) I’ll probably die of boredom first). So, please try to break them and let me know!

Enjoy, Lulu

PS. It’s probably safe to set up in RLV now, and I’ve removed the RLV setup warning. Least until someone reports otherwise 😛

Gag v4.1.0 Release Candidate Out now!

The Signature Gag 4.1.0 Release Candidate (late beta) is out now. If you have some time to test and break the gag, go get them at the Secret Warehouse 🙂

  • Up to 65% lighter in scripts.
  • Avatar Rendering Cost reduced by over 50% – via strategically fewer prims.
  • Rez/unrez anims: introduced in 4.0.0, but were subsequently “lost”. Now they’re back.
  • Starburst on rez: Now gag will starburst on rez.
  • Re-size: Sub’s owner can now re-size the gag for her after putting it on.
  • Setup: Improved check for a devious SL bork, and recover accordingly.
  • Garble: garbled text on /8 (or RLV) will no longer be preceded by emote text.
  • Short name “sigGag” is now “SigGag”.
  • Label command: label command can take both “,” and “:” for color (e.g. label <255,255,0> test). Entering “,” will no longer crash the gag.
  • New prefix option: To target a specific sub, you can now use any part of her first name as prefix (minimum 2 chars). e.g. in the past you say “/1 Olivia g” – now, “/1 ol g” works, or “/1 liv g” works as well.
  • More accurate positioning/rotation: Newly-rezzed gags now use a more accurate positioning and rotation system to overcome default SL inaccuracies.
  • Detaching HUD: Instead of detaching worn gag, gag will remain, but will not be operable till after HUD is reworn. If gag is locked, a detach will be recorded.

Where to get:

Secret Warehouse, at the BETA boxes right inside. You will need to setup everything you have (cuffs and gags) – nothing can be transferred over from you current gear.

Enjoy! Lulu

Cuffs v2.4.0 Release Candidate out now!

2.4.0 Beta Cuffs:

  1. 50-71% fewer scripts: All eight cuffs have a script footprint that is 29% to 50% the size of previous versions. The heaviest combination of scripts will see the maximum reduction of 71%. This means better TPs and faster rezzes, barring the usual SL issues.
  2. White leather option: this fixes the SL rollback of v2.3.0 white leather option.
  3. Owner re-size: Sub’s owner can now re-size sub’s cuffs for her. Look out for the new option in the cuff menu (under “other…”)
  4. Improved setup: Now Setup detects an SL “feature” that sometimes would kill cuffs as they rez, and repeats the setup step automatically.
  5. New options: Now Drop-Rez (cuffs dropping from the air) and Starburst (the flashing light around cuffs as they rez) are options – only sub’s owner can change these. Regardless, re-rez are always direct snap (without dropping).
  6. SigCuff short name: Short name is changed to SigCuff (instead of sigCuff -> short name necessary because of limited space in object names).
  7. Prettier menu: Menus look a little better.
  8. New prefix option: To target a specific sub, you can now use any part of her first name as prefix (minimum 2 chars). e.g. in the past you say “/1 Olivia c” – now, “/1 ol c” works, or “/1 liv c” works as well.
  9. More accurate positioning/rotation: Newly-rezzed cuffs use a more accurate positioning and rotation system to overcome default SL inaccuracies.
  10. Detaching HUD: Instead of detaching worn cuffs, cuffs will remain, but will not be operable till after HUD is reworn. If cuffs are locked, a detach will be recorded.
  11. Various Bugfixes, including problems remembering chain links through rezzes (thanks Frank Skosh for the bug reports)

Where to get:

Secret Warehouse, at the BETA boxes right inside. You will need to setup everything you have (cuffs and gags) – nothing can be transferred over from you current gear.
