I’ve just started an experimental Facebook page… what’s there for you:

My current thinking is though there’s some overlap between the blog and Facebook, the blog will have more gear-specific updates and info whereas Facebook might be better for other fun things. We’ll see.

PS. Don’t have an SL facebook account?

You can actually set up a legitimate “Fictional Character” Facebook page with only an email address (and a mobile number), without a prior Facebook account.

Just make sure you’re not logged in to any Facebook (if any), and head to http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php

It will ask you if you have an account or not, just say no and proceed.

You’re invited to check out the new LULU Helpdesk:

From here you can do several things:

  • getting started: various “Getting Started” articles for the Collar, Cuffs and Gags are there, as well as for Doms and Dommes.
  • search articles: There are over 70 articles already, and more are being added. This Helpdesk has a faster and better search engine than the older one.
  • bug reports: If you can consistently reproduce a problem, it’s probably a bug. Please tell me the steps that I can do (like step 1, step 2, step 3) to reproduce the particular bug – what you observe (any messages, behavior), and what you expected to observe. And the versions of the HUD and gear.
  • feature requests: This is your wishing well. I do have a very long do-list, so no promises anything you suggest will even be done at all. I’d rather do a few things right rather than a lot of things half-baked. But it’s good to dream, right? And if you like a request, vote for it.
  • contact Lulu: Finally, if you can’t find your answers here, or in-group, you can contact me via the form. If you need me to check your stats and such though, please include your SL name!

Devious? Scripter? You are invited!

Are you a scripter with devious ideas? You are invited to make the SL bondage scene a better place by sharing your wicked work with the LULU uHUD (Utility HUD) Open Source community project.

The uHUD is a light-weight by powerful HUD with all sorts of useful features like AO, rezzer, poser, LM-buttons, etc.; and general RLV features like Shared Folders, forcesit, strip and such. It is given away free with every LULU Signature Gear purchase (starting with Collar, will be included with future Cuff and Gag updates).

The uHUD comes with an easy developer API for you to add buttons, create multi-page menus, enforce owner-only buttons, re-apply restrictions after reset etc. with minimal coding. The controller script does all the heavy-lifting for you. You just add ideas. Go on, take a look.

So far, the LULU uHUD is brought to you by:

  • Lulu Ludovico, lead programmer.
  • Chloe1982 Constantine and thinkKink: Multi-core RLV Relay with Owner-Only option, survives reset.
  • Nagi Machinaga: Shared Folders with Lock / Unlock with Owner-Only option, survives reset.
  • Petite Pixie: Rezzable Metal Cage with working doors and anims.
Oh, if you click the the contributors’ names, you will see something different about their Ownership Deeds. There’s a special Grade-A Stock rubber stamp, and if you hover over it, there’s a description of work done.
 
Ongoing uHUD development for upcoming versions:
  • Azrael Coeyman: Lock / Unlock Clothes and Attachments with Owner-Only implementation, survives reset.
  • Nagi Machinaga: AO buttons with sit option.
