Security check failure

If you log in or TP with the collar locked, you might trigger a security check failure.

Unfortunately I am away right now (yes, that pesky First Life thing, and yes, I’m sorry!), but will try to investigate and have a fix by this weekend.

Meanwhile, the only workarounds seem to be:

wear the collar unlocked, for now.
if you have HUD v6.2.x wear that (doesn’t matter if it says *OLD*) and wear the v1.0 collar, for now.

Get your Collar Updates at the Update Switch. Oh, the Update Switch is now a bit smarter. Doesn’t require any used collar and allows you to get both updates together if you’re lucky enough to have both!

Collar v1.1.36 What’s New:

uHUD v1.1 Shared Folders. New features, bugfixes. See below for more.
Hide Bell. For those who aren’t into shiny jiggly things.
Leather collar slightly thinner-looking.
HUD menu: redesigned navigation, smoother feel. Now, with menu-based gender, channel changes.
Scripts: optimized rez scripts and processes. Removed two scripts.
Deed: copiable web address for you to paste into your SL profile, FB/Twitter/Blog profiles. Accessible from Collar Menu.
Security Check: Improved, less fails in laggy sims (for collar, cuffs, gags).
Many minor improvements.

Bugfixes:

No more crawl anim on TP when not in pet-crawl.
Discreet mode now survives relog.
Gender issues, males with some female text.

Synchronized Locking. uHUD will be locked when any LULU Gear is locked, or when any RLV plugin requires it. Unlock is only possible when all Gear are unlocked, and all plugins permit it.
– sub will be informed which feature is causing the uHUD to not be detachable.
Rez Object will now auto-forcesit as well. Tip: relog will re-forcesit.
RLV Get Status will show current RLV version.

New API or functions:

rlvVer: active RLV version.
rlvHUDLocked: TRUE when main HUD is RLV-locked (which is when any LULU Gear is locked by key).
gearLocked: will show which LULU Gear is locked (==> uHUD is also locked). Bitwise 1= Gag locked, 2 = Cuff locked, 4 = Collar locked. When isRLV == TRUE, when gearLocked is positive, it means both the main HUD and uHUD are also locked.
ownerPressed(id,errMsg) : function will return TRUE if id is sub’s owner, so you can process the button. If FALSE, will automatically send errMsg (or default msg saying this button is for sub’s user, if blank).
lockUHUD(pluginName,boolean): function to lock or unlock the uHUD, in such a way that will sync with all other plugins and the main HUD. Will only unlock if everything allows.

LULU Collar Tip: Search the Public Register

One of the nicest things about the LULU Collar is that it comes with the Ownership Deed, which has a lot of useful information about the sub.

This deed is available for public viewing in the LULU Public Register. Unless of course, the options are set to private.

This means that besides viewing yourself, or your sub, you can search for just about anyone, in the Public Register!

LULU Collar Tip: “?” Is Your Friend

Lost? Not sure where to start?

The LULU Collar and uHUD is designed for you to explore the buttons and to discover stuff.

But sometimes we need a little helping hand.

Say “/1.l” to get the collar menu, and at the bottom right, there’s the “?” button. It’s your friend.

Same thing with the uHUD. Say “/1..” and hit “?”. It will show you context-sensitive help.

LULU Collar Tip: Wear It… Slanted.

The LULU Collar has lots of little surprises to fall in love with.

One of these is that you don’t have to wear the collar straight – that is, parallel to the ground.

You can actually slant it forwards and downwards a bit. Or a lot.

Either way, the bell will hang right, by itself. (Click image.) Make sure you’re not in Pet Crawl though, when you adjust your collar, or it won’t work.

Go on, be different.

Sneak Peek: uHUD v1.1

Coming soon, uHUD v1.1 (i.e Utility HUD) will see several powerful features, including:

New features for RLV fans:

New RLV Shared folders with subfolders. It’s elegant, easy, but powerful. By Nagi Michinaga.
New mesh cage for rezzing, with doors, by Petite Pixie.
New uHUD lock (detach=n) feature whenever main HUD is locked, or when RLV Relay is on (by Chloe1982 Constantine/tKInc)
RLV version now displayed in RLV status.

New APIs for scripters:

ownerPressed() function will automatically show error message for owner buttons, and will return user to previous menu.
rlvHUDLocked global variable tracks whether main HUD (and hence uHUD) is locked (detach=n)
rlvVer global variable shows which RLV version is active.

The built-in controller script does all the heavy-lifting work of formatting dialog boxes and navigation, so you can easily add buttons and get to the fun stuff.

LULU Collar Tip: Edit Your (Sub’s) Ownership Deed

Your LULU Collar comes with a gorgeous Ownership Deed pre-filled with all sorts of details. Side tip: hover over various texts and things!

Main tip: did you know you can edit some of the details?

Some bits can only be edited by the sub (e.g. sub-friends) whereas other parts can only be changed by the sub’s owner (e.g. text regarding being “duly trained”).

Before you can edit, you need to sign up (top left hand corner), and follow instructions to confirm your account at the payphone in City Noir.

Once that is out of the way, sign in and the “EDIT” option will be available to you. (Click image in post to see what I mean.)

Hi everyone,

As a designer, I’ve always tried to bring that special blend of beauty and innovation to Second Life.

The Signature gear first introduced Air-Rez, Drop-Rez and Re-Rez to Second Life. The LULU Gag brought garbling and training circles to gagettes, and the LULU Cuffs brought unprecedented live bondage poses.

Now, I present you the next step… Dynamic AO with Next-Gen live anims, Web 2.0 integration, and lots of little scripting tricks… mix them together, and we have the LULU Collar.

Postscript.

The show was the most humilating experience of her life - after the catwalk, she was led from table to table. Blonde Minder was way too enthusiastic with that whip, encouraging her into various uncomfortable and embarrassing poses in front of the distinguished guests, who discerningly palpated both collar and wearer while exchanging bon mots over Moet flutes. From the corner of her eye, she could see other girls at other dimly-lit tables, perfect, oiled bodies bending in purple strobe, showing off their collars too.

At the end though, she was thrilled that her collar fetched one of the highest prices. They did promise her a tip if she managed to get them a good price - it might make all her welts worth it.

Auction over, her handler is now leading her through the tables. She strides, on heels, head high, shoulders square, unfettered breasts bouncing with each stride, face nonchalant the way good models look, her naked browned body still stinging from the whip.

Yes, very kinky, she thinks to herself, the model delivers the collar, on her neck, to the successful bidder, in person, naked, bound, on six-inch heels.

Presently she is in a private room, kneeling. The buyer is a tall bearded man in tuxedo and red bow tie. So the collar is for his dog. The dog, which looks like a wolf, is sitting on its haunches, leashed beside his owner and staring at her. Dog and girl are on the floor, leashed to opposite camps, only she has her wrists cuffed behind her. My collar is prettier than yours, she thinks, good upgrade for you, lucky dog. She watches the small party sip champagne and finish the paperwork and shake hands. She is thirsty. She has worked hard tonight - or perhaps more accurately, she has been worked hard - and she cannot wait for drinks and networking at the after party. She deserves it.

Blonde Minder hands over the papers, keys and leash to the bearded man. He is holding the leashes to both dog and girl on the floor and is now ogling her fresh stripes, her oiled nakedness. She feels the heat of his eyes on her shoulders, her breasts, her arms, her thighs, her rump, as if they are being lashed all over, again, part by part. She looks down. A camera flashes a few times to record the occasion. He must notice her nipples - they are erect though they are no longer cold. Why are they not moving to take the collar already?

Blonde Minder bends down, whispers into her ear, "Oh darling, before we bring you to the after party, there's one thing you should know - these couture collars are custom-made, so it is only natural that... the girl... whose neck it fits... the girl... comes with the collar." Blonde Minder straightens and leaves the room even as the dog moves forward to sniff her.
