HUD 5.7.0 RC2.3 Refresh

Bugfixes (better overflow management in sending stuff to LULU servers).

Adds new server-integration features.

Better self-recovery when initialization fails due to inability to connect to LULU servers.

Thanks, Aika Nirvana for the reports.

Again, if you have RC2.0 and above, just go to “/1.help” and click “New HUD…” to get this.

HUD 5.7.0 RC2.2 Refresh

Bugfix in cases of overflow when sending data to LULU servers.

If you have 5.7.0 RC2.0, just go to your help menu, and select “New HUD…” to get yours. Otherwise, get it at the Update Switch.

Thanks for testing!

[Edit: In the inworld announcement I said RC2.1, but I meant RC2.2]

HUD 5.7.0 RC2.0 refresh

With v5.7.0 RC2.0, I’ve added a new friendly feature:

Replacement HUD: When borked, your HUD now gives you a  blank replacement HUD. You don’t have to go to the Update Switch to get a new one. You don’t have to re-setup your gear – just wear the replacement HUD and transfer your gear over.

The downside? It’ll only give you the same version as what you have now. Giving the latest HUD is not a good idea, as your current gear might be outdated and might not work with the latest HUD. You can still go to the Update Switch at the Warehouse to get updated to the latest HUD + gear.

Other features:

Initialization error: will now tell you what to do and self-recover rather than be stuck below 100%. Will also identify server communication errors.

HUD 5.7.0 RC1.9 refresh

Just discovered a potential problem of data not being fully downloaded from LULU servers if there’s too much data (e.g. the avie has a long gag label, or the avie has several gags).

All older HUDs -> such users may experience some data loss when they get a new HUD. e.g. the gag might not be in the correct position when rezzed.

New:

More robust download: Will automatically overcome SL-limits on http download data, and self-recover.

All in all, HUD v5.7.0 is looking pretty good – it’s smarter (self-recovers from many SL-imposed limitations) and it’s lighter too!

Enjoy,

Lulu
