Signature Gag v3.22.02 refresh

For some strange reason, the new 3.22.02 Signature gags had old scripts in them – not sure what happened, but this affects some gags but not others.

I’ve since refreshed all the gags in server. So if you can’t turn off whine emotes via “/1g emote off” or some of the features listed in the 3.22.02 Release Notes don’t work, please go and update again.

Tip #8 You don’t have to lose your Gag Circle settings when upgrading

You’ve worked hard to chalk up the hours to get up to the next Gag Circle. Not easy considering the crashes that SL dishes out these days. Anyway, you are afraid that if you upgrade your gag to the latest version (or to a Release Candidate), you’ll lose all that hard work.

No you won’t lose your Circle – you can transfer the stats over to your new HUD. Just do this:

1) Get a new gag HUD at the Update Switch at the Warehouse (either coz your gag is outdated, or SL borked your current gag and you wanna start afresh)

2) Setup the new gag.

3) Wait a while for the “transfer” menu to pop up, or you can call it yourself by hitting “transfer…” on the HUD menu. Then follow instructions. Basically you will be asked to rez the old HUD at some point.

Well, in fact, other stats like your gag position, rotation, size and even your owner list will be transferred over. So you don’t have to adjust your gag all over again.

Only thing to watch out for is that you need to give your owners the new key – each gag setup generates its own encoded key.

Have fun!

Signature Gag v3.22.01 is for furries

Might be worth a mention: there’s a little improvement in the latest Signature Gag v3.22.01 for the furries, thanks to the persistence of Krendal Graff.

In the past, you can’t shift the gag more than about 0.1 meter. But that’s no good for furries with muzzles or snouts. So, in v3.22.01, they can. Well, up to 0.25 meters anyway.

There’s a little technical reason for the limitation, but I won’t bore you with the gory little details.

HUD v4.13.02 is out.

If you have HUD v4.13.00, do go to the Release Candidate box, or the Update Switch, and get the v4.13.02.

There is a sad bug in v4.13.00 that does not transfer keys when you transfer your toys from the v4.13.00 HUD to another HUD.

The latest version has also some new improvements and fixes: read here for cuffs, and here for gags.

New HUD v4.13.00 RC is out with Cuffs and Gags

Signature Command HUD v4.13.00 had an important new feature:

Pre-emptive Smart Reset will now periodically check for script errors. The idea is to hopefully discover any script errors before you do. It’s surprising how many people still don’t know how to use “/1.reset” when things don’t work. So I’m making Smart Reset a bit smarter.

And you are encouraged to use the new ZHAO v1.02 (LULU Mod) provided. These will silently work with the HUD, so that as soon as SL detects a stack-heap collision error, the HUD will automatically run a smart reset.

Also, v4.13.00 is a lot more stack-heap resistant (not to say it won’t have stack-heap errors – in today’s unstable SL environment, it’s impossible to prevent this, even for scripts that have over 70% free memory!).

Besides these, there are several important bugfixes, which you can read here for cuffs, and here for gags.

They’re at the respective boxes right as you enter the Secret Warehouse. Remember, you don’t get Release Candidates from the regular Update Switch, but at the Release Candidate boxes (blue and white ones).

Get ’em while they’re still warm.
