With next update, cuffs and gags will no longer detach when the HUD is not worn.

Instead, the cuffs and gags will simply not be operable (can’t click on them, give commands, lock/unlock) till the HUD is worn.

If the sub is locked, detaching the HUD will still incur a breach (non-RLV users of course).

Also, SL has an intermittent bug that detaches HUDs (not just the LULU one) on login. Now the cuffs/gag will tell you that it can’t find the HUD and give you some time to re-wear. If you don’t re-wear within the time frame (it will nag you, don’t worry), then it will trigger a breach (triggering alarms and ending Trials, if applicable).

In all events, so long as the HUD is not worn, the cuffs/gags cannot be operated on.

Currently, if an owner had multiple subs with LULU gear, he could either set them on different command channels, or he could prefix the command with the subbie’s first name. e.g. “/1 Jane c”. Which is fine if subbie’s name were “Jane”, and not something really easy to type, like “Archimediatronix253”.

Coming with HUD v5.6.0, v2.4.0 cuffs and v4.1.0 gags: The prefix will now be any part of the subbie’s first name (minimum 2 characters). So, if subbie’s first name were “Isabella”, any of the following would work: “/1isa c” “/1bella c” “/1is c” “/1be c”

It’s still easier to just set the subs to different command channels. But you’d have to set them first. So, “/1isa channel 2” would do it.

Coming with Signature Cuffs v2.4.0 and Gag v4.1.0:

Re-sizing gear can be a chore. LULU Signature Cuffs makes it easier by letting you re-size each pair (e.g. wrist pair) to precise measurements. But it can still be a chore for the subbie setting up her own cuffs, and gag, for the first time – as only the subbie can re-size her own gear.

Not any more.

Now her owner can put the cuffs and gag on her, and size it to fit. For a personal touch.

The new v2.4.0 cuffs will be 50-70% lighter in scripts (depending on which cuffs you have), and yet provide more functionalities. If SL isn’t acting up, this should translate to faster TP, rez times, response times.

If you’re using 5.5.0 or 5.5.1 (up to beta6), you’re encouraged to update to 5.5.2.

• At the Update Switch, choose “HUD only” if given the choice. It means you have the latest cuffs/gag and you don’t need to re-setup anything, just transfer gear over.
• Regardless, if you have cuffs v2.3.0 or gag v4.0.1, you can press “transfer” at the setup screen and transfer your gear over. No need to re-setup.

5.5.2 adds the delayed re-rez feature to Signature Gag, where if the gag were detached in a no-rez or no-script zone, it would automatically re-rez on TP.

5.5.2 fixes an issue where the cuffs sometimes re-rez after TP (in v5.5.0), even though they weren’t detached earlier.
