This new release brings with it an extensive Leash Menu.

This is the last major feature missing from HUD7 beta. 

Plus, with this release, script count remains the same, but I’ve managed to reduce memory usage!

Leash Menu

What works:

• Easily manage each of subbie’s five Collar links (front, front2, left, right and back) separately:
  1. leash it to any object inworld!
  2. lengthen or shorten the leash
  3. re-leash to another leash link
  4. unleash
• With five Collar links, you can either leash each link to a different object inworld, or leash everthing to one for a different look.

 Leash to five different objects (you can rez five Leash Rings) to severely limit subbie’s movements…

 

…or leash to one single thingie, you know, to be sure subbie is really not going anywhere. (btw Did you know you can hang your Leash Ring on the wall?)

• The leashes are “real” and each leash will limit subbie’s movement (of course!) – so be careful how short you make them.
• Subbie is not allowed to play with her own leash (unless she is self-owned).

Gear detection

Beta.16 has a revamped gear detection system, which should overcome the issues some people are having with some sims.

How to get your beta.16 and uHUD

To get both HUD7 beta.15 and the uHUD, just go to the Secret Warehouse, say the password (“ponygirl”) and click the blue HUD7 Beta Board right above the Update Switch.

Sorry, you can’t get the uHUD directly from the HUD menu yet.

The Force TP feature of the Leash Ring sounds like a single feature, but required multi-layered solutions to handle quite a number of different scenarios.

I’m happy to say that with beta.15, I’ve managed to improve on the experience without adding script-count.

Leash Ring Force TP

What works:

• Owner wearing the Leash Ring remotely has the option of force-TP’ing sub over. Doesn’t matter if sub is seated, in a no-script zone, or doesn’t have RLV turned on. She just needs to be online.
• When forced-TP this way, sub will arrive on all fours in Pet-Crawl if the TP-crawl is enabled, and she can’t get up herself if the crawl-lock option is on. Both these options can be set in Collar Menu > settings… > Leash… > force-tp.
• If sub is leashed to Owner and Owner TP’s away, sub automatically follows. No need to force-TP manually.
• Improved and smoother force-TP experience for the sub and Owner. As usual, there are subtle things that contribute to that overall feeling.
• When leashed in RLV, sub can’t TP away herself.
• New Leash Settings > force-TP options (whether automatically arrive in PetCrawl when summoned, and locked).

 What else is new with main HUD beta.15

• Your Leash Ring will remember the previous leash length that was set, so if you rez it again, it will automatically leash at that leash length.
• Fixed: PetCrawl bugs
• Fixed: collar chat command “/1xx l” not working, where xx is the first name of the sub (e.g. “ja” for “Jane”).

This has taken a bit longer than expected to put all the little pieces together, but the results are looking good.

I’m happy to release Beta.14, which brings Leashing to the Collar’s Leash Ring.

Convertible Leash Ring

What works:

• You can wear it, drop it, rez it inworld, and it will leash the Collar automatically.
• Choke options for drag-choke and pull-choke.
  • drag-choke is when subbie can’t keep up with a walking Owner (is she afk?)
  • pull-choke is when subbie is pulling against the chain herself.
• Relink any leash to any of the five Collar rings.
• Up to five active leashes, each one restricting movement.
• Gravity for chains. Just like the Collar has gravity, the leash chain will sag or tighten when the sub moves closer or further, or when you lengthen or shorten the leash.
• Quick lengthening/shortening of chains via menu.
• Emotes, so that subbie knows what you are doing!
• Sounds.
• Help pages, tips, hints.
• Persistence through relog, restarts.

Other Leash Ring function like force-TP will be in future updates.

 What else is new with main HUD beta.14

• Stability improvements
• Faster restarts. About 11 secs most times.
• Even fewer scripts (actually starting from beta.13, but didn’t mention it then)
• Bugfixes

If you’ve been having problems in Firestorm rezzing Cuffs (they don’t stick around), or things detaching automatically after TP, then you should update your Firestorm to the latest 4.7.3. They’ve fixed the rezzing issues.
