Free “AO Bridge” script fixes any AO conflict with LULU Cuffs (and Collar)

Your LULU Cuffs (and upcoming Collar) are designed to overwrite your AO anims (that’s the point of being tied up!).

However, sometimes you might still see your AO trying to fight for control.

The usual solution has been to use the LULU ZHAO-II AO or “sexy walk” bundled with the Cuffs.

Now, LULU Labs has come up with another solution:

Just drop the  LULU AO Bridge script (‘LULU.aoBridge.lsl’) into your favorite AO HUD or boots.

It’s a universal script that works with just about every worn AO out there. Go on, give it a go 🙂 and see if it doesn’t work with yours!

Now you can use your favorite AO or boots with LULU Cuffs (& Collar)!

Where to get it?

  • from today it will be in the Cuffs boxed sets.
  • you can also get it from the crate beside the Update Switch (see pic above, click to enlarge). Just right-click and buy for free. You will also get the LULU AO, and the “sexy walk” anim. So it’s up to you which solution suits you best.

xoxo, Lulu

Special thanks to Kali Naminosaki (Oracul) who was a real trooper who tried a zillion versions till we got it right, Stormy Dench who tried quite a few versions too (TPS),  joro Aya (Huddles), Arcsylver Ember (CI Corset), Frichte Resident (Vista AO), Frank Skosh (ANA_Mations), Molly Kanto (OC), Omni Navarita (MD), Adel Milena (ZHAO-II), Cooleyes Resident (ZHAO-II) and everyone who beta-tested!

v2.4.3 Cuffs fixes minor positioning bug

Signature Cuffs are now v2.4.3 , which fixes a positioning bug in v2.4.2. In v2.4.2,  when you reposition the cuffs, especially in small increments, or in a particular direction, the new position might not be saved. New rezzes might thus revert back to the previous positions.

v2.4.3 fixes that, and will now tell you when it saves the new position, so you know.

If you have v2.4.2, you can choose not to update to v2.4.3 if you don’t plan on repositioning your cuffs much. Or, you are happy to play around with a manual workaround: first slide the cuff a long way up your limb, then rotate to your fancy. Finally, slide the cuff back to the desired position along the limb. Don’t do any rotation after that. You can detach and rez again to see whether it was saved.

Cuffs attached wonky? Try Cuffs v2.4.2

What’s new:

  • Fixes an old SL rotation bug in slow/laggy sims, where one or two cuffs (different ones each time) might attach with wrong rotation (a simple re-rez fixes it). Now, it will rez perfectly the first time.
  • Fixes the double message on lock.
  • Will no longer allow two LULU Cuffs to be worn on one attachment point (a side-effect of the new SL multiple-attachment-per-point feature).

Have fun!

Lulu

To get yours:

  • Go to the Secret Warehouse and hit the Update Switch. Full instructions here.
  • If asked, choose “HUD+cuffs”. (You need the new cuffs for this to work!)
  • Full set-up is required (plus use your arm/thigh Activators to get your arms/thighs), as this is a new cuff version.

Thanks:

  • Kitty Mystiere and Arcsylver Ember for stress-testing the cuffs on various sims.
  • Aida Rieko for reporting the rotation issue. Many have reported as well over the years, and it is a difficult SL bug to both pinpoint and work around. But Aida was the last one.

Experiencing odd behavior with one cuff?

If you are seeing one (random) cuff that’s either very very small, or HUGE, and you’re using the HUD v5.7.0 RC2.4, or v5.7.0 (with no RC number), then do this:

1) say “/1.help” and hit “new HUD…”. Then hit “Gimme!”

2) You will receive the v5.7.0 RC2.3 HUD which doesn’t have the problem.

3) Wear that, and transfer your cuffs and gear over.

4) Rez the cuffs. Now, one cuff might still be looking odd. Just re-size and reposition that normally.

5) Detach the cuffs and rez again – they should now be more normal (like when they’re fresh out of the box).

6) If the rest of the cuffs need minor adjustments to fit your avie, do so now. Just position and re-size. Detach and wear again to see that the settings stick, and you don’t get any HUGE or small cuffs again.

If this doesn’t work, you can IM me.

Thanks, Lori Claremont, for detecting and reporting this issue.

Cheers,

Lulu
